Peace, hospitality and plenty of ski choice

Short Portrait
St. Michael and the adjacent Grosseck Speiereck ski area with 30km of slopes are just a stone's throw away. These versatile options guarantee an unforgettable winter sports holiday for ambitious sports enthusiasts as well as recreational skiers or snowboarders. Numerous cross-country ski runs have been created for cross-country skiers. The ski bus takes you from St. Margarethen to neighbouring St. Michael or Mauterndorf. If you have a Lungo ski pass, you can use the ski bus free of charge.
A particularly charming contrast results from the fact that the ski areas are all gathered in the Tauern mountains north of Sankt Margarethen, while the view to the south extends to the Gurktaler Alps, which are structured quite differently. You have a view of the so-called Nockberge mountains, which, in contrast to the rather rugged, rocky Tauern mountains, are gently rounded and for the most part wooded.

Ski pass
As an alternative to the Lungo ski pass, there is the regular ski pass for the Katschberg-Aineck area. In terms of price, it differs little from the Lungo ski pass. The Lungo card has the advantage that one is not bound to the ski area Katschberg-Aineck, providing plenty of options to skiers.
